Mint Steel Forge is centrally located in Michigan’s “Automation Alley”, Northwest of Detroit. Our modern facility totals 25,000 square feet of manufacturing space, in addition to office, lab, and engineering facilities
Automated saws are capable of cutting up to 3.5 inch bars, and holding billet weights to within 2-5 grams, resulting in precise, cold formed tolerances. Our saw department has the capacity to produce over 5,000 blanks in a single shift.
Our header department is capable of producing shaft- type finished parts up to six inches in length as well as pre-forms used in our press department. These machines can accommodate wire diameters from ½ inch up to 1 inch.
Our presses range from 110 to 800 tons and include automated as well as manual delivery systems. Computer driven automation, designed in-house, gives Mint precise movement of blanks into and out of the die area, allowing better control of the forming process.
